DIABETES
Tibetan Medicine looks at diabetes through the relationship between digestion, the elements, and the body’s internal balance. In this perspective, poor digestion plays an important role in the development of internal disorders. Diabetes is also associated with an excess of the earth and water elements, known as bad kan or phlegm, which has cold and heavy qualities. During this workshop, Dr. Phuntsog Wangmo will explain this perspective in more detail and explore how diet, lifestyle, digestion, and individual constitution can be considered when understanding and managing diabetes.
