What Are Momos?
-
In Tibetan culture, momos are more than food. They are handmade dumplings prepared with patience and care, often in the company of others. The process of making momos invites conversation, closeness, and a simple form of nourishment that goes beyond the plate.
Traditionally, momos are filled according to the season and what is available. In this session, they are prepared with beef, chicken, or vegetarian fillings, allowing each participant to choose what best suits them. Wrapped by hand and slowly cooked, momos are meant to be shared, making them a natural choice for gatherings and moments of togetherness—especially during this time of year.
